Our History
fgi founded as the Dr. Fischer Management Consultancy, its activities focussing on executive coaching and the challenges facing leaders. The firm quickly carves out a strategic niche in the field of leadership change, growing rapidly in both size and reputation. Peter Fischer publishes his book “Neu auf dem Chefsessel” (“New in the Hot Seat”).
fgi extends its portfolio to offer capabilities in change management. The Dr. Fischer Management Consultancy becomes fgi Fischer Group International, expanding to take on senior partners and a network of consultants.
fgi now has 20 senior consultants on its roster, adding its Leadership Programme to its areas of expertise.
fgi establishes the fgi Research Institute for organisational culture, reflecting the increasing importance of corporate culture in its projects and to deepen and systematise its work in this area.
fgi ventures into a new business sector with DigitalSolutions, online tools centred around key themes in leadership and transformation and allowing leaders access to the full range of fgi’s expertise. fgi’s strategic and operational oversight passes to a management team of five senior partners, with Peter Fischer moving into an advisory role.
fgi becomes part of the HR Path Group and thus further expands its offering in the area of HRIS solutions and its international activities. The fgi team becomes part of an international team of more than 2500 employees. Carlo Fischer remains Managing Director of fgi and becomes Partner at HR Path.
Company values
CLARITY

CURIOSITY
Curiosity is without doubt the driver of change. For centuries, humankind’s drive to make new discoveries has led to newer and newer technological and social innovations. For fgi, however, curiosity also means a drive for interdisciplinarity: we want to learn from others and stimulate their own curiosity.

DEPTH
Depth is the prerequisite for clarity: only those who drill through to the heart of a problem can come up with clear, practical ways of solving it. More importantly, depth means continuous effort and a willingness to reflect on one’s own approaches.
