HR Conference "Future of Work"

Global and hybrid future conference

A global leader in specialty chemicals convened its HR community worldwide in a two-day event. This major event enabled around 100 HR professionals across functions and regions to network, share expertise, and strategize on HR issues for the company.

Challenge

The aim was to make the work on HR positioning on key topics of "Future of Work" so exciting and concrete for the participants that new target-group-specific offerings could be developed in an overarching, playful and concrete way.

Approach

At the face-to-face event, we made digitization and agile forms of working a tangible experience as universal design elements; teams in Shanghai and in the USA were involved live and interactively via an online platform.

  • Over two days, participants worked on highly creative prototyping sessions on future topics such as: Future jobs/functions- Digital competencies of employees - Culture and leadership - Agility and new forms of collaboration.
  • Individual participants, professionally coached by actors, slipped into the role of personas to give the teams valuable feedback from a target group perspective in reviews during the development phase.

Result

Reflecting on the concrete results together with the Executive Board and in the follow-up work, it became clear that this conference enabled HR to position itself throughout the company as an important source of impetus and a reliable partner for future issues.
