Global communication of re-orientation

A leading German premium automobile manufacturer revamps its IT systems around the world: Decentralization, the establishment of service units on three continents, and development of four big topics for the future make up the core of the project.

During peak times, up to 500 people work on the project, several thousand are directly affected within IT, and of course the entire group as a whole is at least indirectly affected.

The topics are complex and complicated. fgi therefore supports the project for two years with intensive communication: Based on a story used globally, together with an internal communications team, measures are taken first to ensure uniformity of messages and continuous communication of progress to all relevant target groups. In addition, fgi supports individual workstreams with the development of their own communications activities, and implements ambitious initiatives such as intranet features and a worldwide video competition.

Although the new IT is scattered throughout the world, it is carried forward by a "Global Spirit." Continuous monitoring provides the proof: The internal target groups feel well-informed about the new IT and any concerns they initially had have been resolved so well that do not delay in implementing the large project.
